Corporate Trainer - Graham Price
You
have arrived at this page as you are looking for a Corporate Trainer, or you are interested in what a Corporate Trainer
is, or does. I have been a Corporate Management Trainer since 1996, and working for myself since 2006. Prior to that
I was a Management Trainer for a number of large organisations including Yellow Pages and Reed Elsevier. It was a career choice
and Corporate training was not something I fell into by accident or redundancy. As a Corporate trainer I split my time
between serving my own clients, and working on an associate basis, for other training companies.
The
use of Freelancers!
The
training industry is predominantly made up of a number of organisations that will use corporate trainers, as and when they
need them, to deliver management training projects to their clients. Large organisations and corporate clients will tend to
engage with larger training organisations who will sub contract to trainers like myself who have worked in larger organisations
Do you go direct or through a 3rd party?
As
I will either work direct with clients, or work as an associate through training companies, the only difference is not
the quality of the management training I deliver, but the rates that are generally charged. This is because a lot
of the costs in business development, chasing payments and account management are picked up by the training organisation.
There can be costs associated to any intellectual property also.
What about location?
Location
wise, I am based in Surrey and close to major airports and less than 30 minutes from London, Guildford and Brighton. I do
however work extensively in the Middle East, the US and Europe as well as regularly training in Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds
and Bristol. Location is a factor for any trainer, if you are close to me we can catch up more regularly and expenses
will be less, so bear this in mind when choosing any training organisation.
